Direct Sustaining Support
Over the past year, I have become a big fan of the direct sustaining support model for things I care about. Here are the things I am currently supporting.
- NeoVim: This is a campaign to add a full time developer(@tarruda) to Neovim, significantly accelerating its progress.
- Daily Tech News Show: Tom Merritt is the master of tech news, has done 2000+ episodes of tech news across 3 companies, I listen to this podcast daily.
- Smarter Every Day: Awesome science videos done by some amazing sort of meta-human named Destin who will make you feel like you accomplished nothing today.
- CordKillers: We’re the weekly news and comment program that believes you should be able to watch what you want, when you want, on whatever damn device you like.
- Night Attach: AWESOME BULLSHIT, EVERY WEEK. “Hello, you sexy demon hordes of the internet… We’ve been waiting for you.”
- CPG Grey: Creator of informative YouTube videos (they are truly awesome)
- We Have Concerns: A podcast by Jeff Cannata and Anthony Carboni about all the wonder and dread hidden inside everyday things.
- FrogPants: Scott Johnson draws a lot of things. And records a lot of things. He makes a lot of things. Things people seem to like. So he’d like to continue to make these things. This Patreon helps make that happen.
- Weird Things: “We’re not sure Sasquatch is real, but we know he’s awesome”
- Hello Internet: CGP Grey & Brady Haran talking about YouTube, life, work and whatever.
- Animal Wonders: Animal Wonders on YouTube shows animals being amazing and also shares behind the scenes footage of what it’s like to care for 80+ exotic animals and share education locally and on the internet.
- Healthcare Triage: Healthcare Triage is a video series hosted by Dr. Aaron Carroll who explains healthcare policy, medical research, and answers a lot of other questions you may have about medicine, health, and healthcare.
- FSL Tonight: “Bringing you the best of Science Fiction and Fantasy Sports action”
